Blondie's Debbie Harry, LA's Whiskey, February 16-20, 1977.

Blondie's first tour: opened for Tom Petty, then a few days later, a dream package with the Ramones, 2 shows a night for four nights.

Although this photo was published internationally, generating early publicity for them, I doubt if I ever made $100 from print usage til recently.

I am sooo excited because Debbie gave me permission to use for cover of my first solo book, "Punk Pioneers," from Rizzoli/Universe, April 2008. It will be in Swindle mag's October, 2007 issue with a major story about Debbie. Hooray!!! I am so proud this photo and I have been redeemed! Thank you Debbie, for then and for now.

Read what happened after it was on the cover of "Back Door Man" fanzine [scroll a bit when you get to the BDM page] and my Blondie first page, which resulted in my being banned from ever shooting Blondie again. I still love their first three CDs. "Rip her to shreds" a real fave. Blondie are and will remain one of my fave bands. Debbie was, well, so very special, in so many ways. Thank you Debbie!

Blondie, Debbie Harry, Whisky, February 1977.

"Cinderella's Big Score," about women in punk, erroneously stated Debbie ONCE wore a wedding dress only in New York. My photos show her in a bridal gown and veil when they opened for Tom Petty at the Whisky. Years before Madonna crawled the MTV stage floor, like a virgin bride.

ASK
first, you might make a friend. Use my photos so I benefit too. These are MY photos.
Got a cool site or blog? Maybe we can link up. Better to ask than get angry letter/email from people who will stop you.

ANY usage, especially commercial or editorial, of any purchased, licensed, or otherwise obtained print(s)/scans, etc is strictly prohibited. Violates STATE and FEDERAL laws. That means if you use my photos on something (t-shirt, mag, print, etc) and make money, you robbed me. You robbed everyone, including yourself, of money needed for my archive. How does that make you feel?? That's not how punks treat other punks, especially us pioneers!

That includes, but is not limited to, scanning, reproduction, distribution in any manner, publishing, merchandise, posting, broadcasting, transmitting (podcasts, online, existing or future technology), etc.

Play nice and we can play together. Using without linking, notifying me, etc is bad karma.
